Administrator & Educator
Mrs. Evola has been dedicated to the education of children for over 15 years. She worked in Special Education starting in 2006. She has a heart for educating all students as individuals using their strengths to overcome their weaknesses. Her hands-on approach has benefited student’s grasp of academics as well as teaching important life skills. She has worked with the home school community since 2015 and has homeschooled her own children since 2017.
In 2019 she joined The Devine Schoolhouse and helped them grow their new program. In 2021 she became the Administrator and in 2022 made the decision to change the name to Learning Together AV.

She was in charge of Food and Beverages for the Local Greek Festival for several years where she served traditional Greek food to nearly 3000 people in a single weekend. You can see what she has been making lately on her Facebook page Pam Makes That.
She obtained degrees from Antelope Valley College in both Liberal Arts and Sciences: Math and Science and Clothing and Textiles.
Mrs. Joy Cisneros Densford
Educator
Mrs. Joy has been involved in education for over 20 years. Her undergraduate degree is in English Literature and she is certified to teach ELA for grades 6-12 in Texas. She graduated with a Juris Doctor and practiced law, also in Texas. But life, being unpredictable in its twists and turns, sent her back to teaching and she has stuck with it in some capacity ever since. First, it was 8th grade ELA in Texas (best job ever). All levels of corporate training and instructional design in the banking and mortgage industries took over once she moved to California. Now, she brings her love of learning to her homeschooling and to LTAV! This is the 6th year she will be homeschooling her son, an 11 year old 6th grader.
Teaching literature and writing are her very favorite - bringing stories (even Shakespeare) to life for ALL readers, and using writing to express thoughts, feelings, and creativity! Reading and writing can be so much fun, and she enjoys inspiring others to feel the same! In her “downtime,” Joy likes to read (surprise), especially sci-fi/fantasy novels, and play video games. She is pro- Oxford comma, but has finally let go of the second “space” after a period.
Mrs. Patricia Devine
Educator
Mrs. Devine has been educating home school students for over 15 years and has been teaching the IEW method of writing both to her own students and in the classroom setting. Passionate about literature and writing, Mrs. Devine brings this excitement into the classroom and coaches each student to perform their best. She has been teaching high school English for several years at a local charter school. Mrs. Devine formerly competed on the Forensic Debate team at CSUN while completing her Bachelor's in Communication Studies. In addition to her skills in the classroom, Mrs. Devine has also served on the Executive Board of West Coast Classical, a non-profit organization benefiting musicians in the Antelope Valley. She has also worked alongside her husband in running their small business for the past 23 years.
Mrs. Cheryl Espinosa
Educator
Mrs. Cheryl Espinosa began her early childhood journey in 1985 working as a summer camp counselor at Sunshine Day Camp in Santa Clarita. Later that year she was promoted to Director of Sunshine Childcare and Learning Center, running the before and after-school childcare facility. In 1989, she became the Pre-K Teacher in the same facility working with the younger learners. Mornings at Sunshine were spent teaching Pre-K whereas the afternoon focus was providing enrichment activities to elementary aged students grade K-6. Her evenings were filled with attending Early Childhood classes at College of the Canyons and on the weekend she attended a UCLA Extension class. Through those classes she earned the necessary ECE credits qualifying her to work with the little ones as well as the elementary ages. She, along her husband Al, became parents, (best job ever) in 1993 to Alejandro. She directed at Sunshine until 1995, when she became a mommy to Evelina.
At this time, she and her family moved to Quartz Hill. She applied and was immediately hired as a Preschool teacher at Mission Bell Preschool. In 2007 Mrs. Cheryl was promoted to Director. She loved working at Mission Bell teaching and directing until the pandemic closed them down in March of 2020. Not willing to accept that an early retirement was close, she waited patiently for the right opportunity to re-enter the early childhood field. And viola, Learning Together AV is that opportunity!
Mrs. Cheryl genuinely enjoys nurturing and caring for the young learners. Her philosophy is that each learner is unique therefore they learn and thrive at their own pace. She values her role supporting moms and dads in their parenting journey!

Mrs. So Mei Pang-Rivera
Educator
I have been in the education field for almost 20 years. I loved teaching since I was just a young girl playing school with my two little sisters. I knew early on that I wanted to be a teacher. As a young adult I focused my studies on art and education right before moving to Lancaster with my husband. For 10 years I taught art at the middle school level. After giving birth to my first child, Kaylee, I decided to become a stay at home mom. Once Kaylee came close to school age, I decided to go back to teaching. In my position at The Idea Academy in Palmdale, I taught art to every student in the school from TK through 6th grade. After teaching at the school for a year, I decided that public school was not what I wanted for my children so we decided to homeschool. I love homeschooling my children and I love working with families in the AV homeschool community. I look forward to sharing my love of art with your learners.
